INGL 3105: Skills for Communication in the Sciences

Oral Presentation Guidelines

Each student will have 10 minutes (exactly!) for his/her presentation, provided we start on time.  If you plan to use audio-visual aids in your presentation, come to the center a few days earlier and make sure that it will be ready when you present.  This oral presentation is worth 5% of your final grade.  You will be evaluated on the contents organization, loudness, rhythm, eye contact with your audience, reading versus speaking, language correctness (please check the pronunciation of critical words in the dictionary!), handling questions, and the effectiveness of the equipment if you use any.

The audience must ask each presenter at least one question and fill out a peer review form, so everybody must come also on the days when you don't present!
